General Portal

Lockbox allows you to host a portal on your website for general users of Lockbox. For examples, partners may already be members of Lockbox and want to login using their normal credentials (rather than special client credentials that you manage).

General Portal URL

All you need to do is to reference the unique URL of your Lockbox client in a web page. You find the URL here:

1. Go to the main menu and open the ‘File’ menu. Then select the ‘Preferences’ item.
2. In the ‘Applet Gateway’ section, copy the URL.

Lockbox strongly recommends to copy and paste the applet gateway URL in order to avoid any omissions or misspellings that may prevent your Lockbox client from starting up correctly.

Web UI

The general portal is also an alternative interface to the normal Lockbox Java (TM) Web Start application interface.

By default, the general portal is localised to show only boxes the user is in which are also owned by the owner of the gateway.

To host a gateway where users can see all their boxes, append "&localised=false" to the gateway applet URL.
